Blepharitis is a common condition where the edges of the eyelids become red and swollen.

Symptoms of Blepharitis:

Here we are going to give you some natural remedies for the Blepharitis:

1. Warm compress

Take some cloth and soak it in a bowl with hot water. Squeeze out the excess moisture and apply the compress to the edge of the affected eyelid. Leave it to stay 10 minutes. Repeat this several times a day.

2. Tea Tree Oil

This oil has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. You can use it for different heal conditions and one of them is blepharitis.

You will need:

  • 3 drops of tea tree oil
  • 2 tablespoon of olive oil


Mix the ingredients together and with a cotton ball apply it over closed eye. Leave it for 2 minutes and wash it off with cold water. Do this twice a day.

3. Castor Oil

Castor oil is also extremely efficient in treating blepharitis. You should soak a cotton pad in a castor oil and apply it over your eyelid. Let it stay for 10 minutes and then rinse it off. Repeat this every night before you go to sleep.

4. Coconut Oil

We all know that coconut oil has numerous of benefits for our health. It fights infections and reduces the inflammation. Dab some cotton pad in coconut oil and apply it gently on the affected areas. After 15 minutes, wash it off. Do this several times a day.
